Marriage is a government process and a religious tradition. One provides some thousand rights to the couple in question. The other does absolutely nothing.

Funny thing is, the only thing I’ve seen the local priest sacrifice is some dried autumn leafs. And perhaps a log.

Regarding the hormones; gays might not have abnormal hormone levels as adults, but what if homosexuality is caused by hormone abnormalities during the early days of pregnancy? It’s an idea that’s been tossed around a lot recently.

And that this different wiring is unnatural and probably in part a developmental disorder and in part influenced by the particular genetic makeup of the person.
I also personally believe that these tendencies are present in many of us straight people, but held in check by controlling instincts. And I also think it is possible for your brain to be rewired (not consciously) over the years and new sexual desires appear (fetishism is not just spontaineous).

Well there has been a lot of political pressure as well on say the WHO to remove it from their list of illnesses. I’m not saying gays are crazy or mentally retarded or anything.
But fundamentally it is IN the brain.. it’s not hormonal, homos have the same hormones as heteros.
To me the most logical conclusion would be a general statement that a gay man’s libido is wired to be attracted to men, whereas a lesbian’s libido is wired to be attracted to women. And that wiring happens in the brain.

We have to wait for science to come up with an answer to “some people are born gay or transgender”. So far it’s more of a tendency (studies of identical twins and gay behaviour). There is no gay gene (wouldn’t survive).
Personally I think it IS in part choice and part a brain problem.. some people just get wired up different .. growth of the brain is also a selective evolutionary process. It’s how you get criminals feeling no empathy or geniuses with many times the brainpower of us mortals.

Actually it’s not completely conflicting.
I am a straight guy and I find it against my nature to imagine having sex with a man (I can imagine being a woman though =) .. and the idea of anal sex is disgusting to me.. much so more with a man.
But then I wouldn’t call that hate.. that’s nature. if all men liked gay sex, women would stand no chance of getting pregnant (men are much hornier).
But overriding our instincts we can come to accept people who are different.
Just don’t touch my ass!

That’s not Christianity. You’re just being a human, like most everyone else. This desire to live peacefully and cooperatively with others is natural and not granted by Christianity. You should just lose the religion and act empathetic as your normally do, Christianity itself only subverts our human kindness and causes misery.
