The way that the bible is explained here seems that it’s: *shock* written by humans. And SEVERAL humans at that, who had differing immoral views on issues… *SHOCK*

Yeah, I bet it’s hilarious. However, remember that Christians are a very diverse group, and only the ones I referred to as “loud unfortunate morons” are the ones who say that every word is LITERALLY true, which is different than being “true.” Remember that when you’re talking about myth and allegory, the truth is not SUPPOSED to be a scientific or historic “truth”, but rather a spiritual/psychological truth.

Oh I didn’t say I disagreed with the video. Infact, I think it sheds light that the bible was written by humans with different moral views (so how could we take it literally as one set of rules), in addition to the context of the time. Slavery, incest are wrong now, whereas eating seafood and wearing clothing of differing fibers are ok now.

It’s a humourous view on the issue though.

You want proof? Check out the youtube video called “If you use condoms you will not be raptured.” It’s created by a self-ordained “prophet” called thirdeagle, who apparently is … confused. I think this guy proves my point rather well.
